This 2D cyberpunk-inspired animation was the opportunity we had been long waiting for. Created for 2performant's Business League, the world's first e-commerce championship, this tension-filled frame-by-frame animation builds up the spirit of the competition arena.

The vision of our director Andrei Câmpan was crystal clear from the beginning - a dynamic flow and an edgy illustration that combine in a tonic animation to reiterate the rollercoaster-like emotions of this competition.

This meant a wide range of techniques blended together - 2D and 3D Animation, FX, Motion Graphics - and a wider range of tools - Photoshop, After Effects, Clip Studio, Animate, Procreate Dreams, Blender.

Following the three main characters actions, the music turns into a choreographic field. The voice adds up to the sci-fi approach we had on this brand ad, and we were very specific with the glitches and the super-natural details in the voice - a human voice that needed to feel like an AI.

The team loved the project, though everyone worked like mad to pull this off and to meet the deadlines. The team from Business League was a true partner, and we were thrilled to know that they had the same opinion of us:

So excited to be so well challenged and to be able to turn this into a small homage to one of our favourites, Ghost in a Shell.
